A song for Europe

A new musical by Gelan & Rebeka Swift

There can be no greater emotions than love and hate, and at times they can make strange bedfellows

indeed. From an early age we are taught that blood is thicker than water, and that a family member

has to be loved at all costs. It's just a pity that nobody told Elsa and Nils Pedersen, for although they

spend their lives paying lip service to each other, a vein of loathing undulates between them. Since

their formative years, derision and sarcasm has become their staple diet, choking each of them in

turn and driving away friends and loved ones. But there is one thing that they both love...music! It's

said that music can sooth the savage breast, but can it heal a rift that runs so deep and poisonous,

that not even the most optimistic amongst us would dare hope for reconciliation. But maybe there is

hope on the horizon, a seedling thought that might, just might, bring brother and sister together.
